Last night the Coalition Against World Dairy Summit organised Public Forum: whats wrong with the New Zealand dairy industry?. It attracted a good number of interested people. We watched the films Food Inc and Meat the Truth and listened to talks from Ruth Irwin about the effects of intensive dairy farming on the climate. Animal Freedom Aotearoa member Jasmine Gray then talked about the animal rights and animal welfare issues associated with dairy farming. You can listen to both of these talks below.
